The project for Rambla 25 de Agosto de 1825 in Montevideo integrates elements of historical memory, urban landscape, and spatial redevelopment to transform a transitional area into a meaningful public space. Using an approach rooted in topography and didactic archaeology, the Port Park is conceived as an "ecotopographic operation" that bridges nature and the city, reclaiming residual and interstitial spaces to craft a cultural and social narrative. Through a process of continuous reinterpretation, the project envisions versatile spaces that merge temporal and functional dimensions: from urban wastelands to lush gardens, from abandoned areas to hubs of cultural and touristic interaction. The intervention is organized around urban courtyards and gardens, such as the Patio de las Bóvedas and the Patio del Medio, which, with a contemporary language, reactivate historical memory and redefine the role of the port landscape as an infrastructure of social and ecological connection.
