The Technological University (UTEC) launched a national design competition for preliminary architectural proposals to establish the first Regional Technological Institute in the interior of the country. The project is to be located on the industrial site of the former Anglo Uruguay S.A. meatpacking plant (Río Negro, Uruguay).
The competition aimed to achieve a specific architectural and urban design for the program, integrating the existing historic remains of high heritage value into a new building proposal. Our project was selected as one of the semifinalists in this prestigious competition.
